Morris dance has been an enduring feature of British culture for more than six centuries. To celebrate EFDSS is hosting a two-day conference of presentations, posters and dance, exploring morris dance’s evolution and spread from its elusive beginnings until the present day. Themes covered include:
- Women in Morris;
- Morris at Court;
- The Early Revival;
- Material Culture;
- The History of History;
- The Later Revival;
- The Morris Dark Ages: the 18th Century.
