Steven Archer’s election as Treasurer of The Morris Ring was ratified at The Sheffield Annual Representatives' Meeting last weekend. He replaces Eddie Worrall who, after a valuable and much appreciated tenure, is really leaving to spend more time with his family.
Steven has been CEO, Finance Director and Company Secretary in corporate business holding a postgraduate Diploma in Management and Corporate Direction. Outside work he has been Governor and Chair of Finance of a major secondary school, Treasurer of his local rugby club and Honorary Treasurer of the Local Workers Educational Association.
He writes that with his knowledge of and commitment to the Morris he will now be able to apply his skills in partnership with the Bagman to support the Squire in the way ahead. Steven is currently Squire of Ravensbourne Morris Men with its proud history of providing officers to The Morris Ring.
We’re sure he will make them even prouder.
