Letchworth Morris were given some time ago a notebook by Barbara, Morris Sunderland's widow. Morris was a past Squire of the Ring, 1974 to 76. As archivist of LM I have kept it safe, but recently found that a new member had lots of knowledge of AI, and was happy to transcribe the handwritten pages into a digital file. I sent him photos of the pages, and although he started using word recognition software, he actually ended up typing most of it. I then went through his work and compared it to the original book, and have ended up with a readable text.The notebook is a record of meetings of Letchworth Morris Men from 1938 - I think they were intended as a minutes, but fall short of the formality of those. The date then jumps to 1977, and continues to 1988. Morris died in 1989, having invited a generally young, non-Ring side, Three Shires Morris, to join Letchworth in 1988.
