Jon Melville was elected as Charlie Corcoran's successor at this year's Annual Representatives' Meeting. Charlie had decided that 10 years in office was quite enough but is continuing in the separate ‘role’ as Keeper of the Morris Ring Log Book – so please continue to let him have information to inform what he writes.
Jon has been dancing around 37 years, started out as a lad with Derby MM, now he regularly dances with Anker Morris in Nuneaton, plus he's an occasional Dolphin man and East Suffolk man. He's also musician for First Class Stamp Appalachian and a regular musician for the Jigs Instructional. He plays most varieties of squeezebox, mainly upside-down!
A full appreciation will no doubt appear in Jon's first edition of the Bagman's newsletter, but meanwhile, many thanks Charlie for your fantastic service to The Morris Ring.

Charlie "danced" out at the Thaxted Meeting playing Nutting Girl Fieldtown for 12-year-old Tom Simons (due to an ankle injury) and Jon danced in with Jockey to the Fair Sherborne, played for by Ian Stewart of Dolphin.
