The Morris Ring Jigs Instructional 2021 ̶ what's happening?

Ain't it ironic? Next month’s Jigs Instructional, that big-hearted helping of ace instruction, spirited learning and comestibles of the finest saporisity*, has inevitably come a cropper at the hands of you-know-what. Ironic, because the only way for many of us to scratch the Morris itch in 2020 has been through crafty deployment of the not-so-humble Cotswold Jig. But January's usual divertissement will not - cannot - go ahead. Lackaday, lackaday.
But wait! The Jigs Instructional Great Panjandrummery is toiling feverishly on your behalf to organise at least one day of teaching later in the year. We're not yet able to determine when such a get-together might occur - probably not before we've all been given the green light to start normal practice sessions again - or where. However, feelers are out, teaching programmes are being assessed and metaphorical arms are being twisted as we strive, despite all, to supply the Morris community with its annual Jig Fix.
So, please, wish us luck, watch this space for developments and do get in touch with jigsinstructional [at] themorrisring.org if you know of suitably capacious premises in your bailiwick that might lend themselves to a squeaky-clean, day-only instructional. We have our eye on several likely candidates, but we're keen to expand our portfolio of possibilities.
