Morris appealing in Poole, Dorset

A message from Catherine Burke for morris sides ready and eager to return to dancing out ...

Hi, I organise Folk on the Quay, a little open access festival on Poole Quay, Dorset. I run this for Poole Tourism. We usually have a couple of stages of music, a ceilidh on the street, and a good number of Morris sides dancing. The festival is on the last Saturday of June (26th), which is 5 days after all restrictions will be lifted - IF everything goes to plan for the Government, of course.

Poole Tourism would like to go ahead and put the event on - plan it anyway. Booking the stages with bands is easy enough, but lots of our usual dance sides have decided that they'll be too out of practice, and/or that they won't be comfortable dancing out in public at that point. Would you like to dance at our event? I'm assuming (maybe wrongly) that there must be some sides who are desperate to get out and dance and are having trouble finding any events that are actually happening!
