News from Graham Cox of Cambridge MM:
The archive of Clare College, Cambridge holds Cecil Sharp's manuscripts for The Morris Book, the publication based on his research and on which the twentieth century revival of Morris Dance was based. Sharp was an undergraduate at Clare and later a fellow of the college.
On Saturday 8th March the college will hold a free, open morning exploring the contribution of the college archive to the major EFDSS project known as "The Full English" (see their website). This is digitising source material from many key archives including the Vaughan Williams library at Cecil Sharp House, London. Thus the source documents will be globally available and, of course, searchable for the first time.
Details of the open day are attached.
