Following a public invitation by Robin Springett, Squire of the Morris Ring, at the Adelaide Ring Meeting, we have now received Perth Morris Men’s application to join the Morris Ring (which should be formally ratified at our next Annual Representatives’ Meeting). Robin had been impressed by their consistent dancing of various Cotswold traditions over the weekend.
According to their excellent web site http://perthmorrismen.org/ Perth Morris Men first danced out in March 1974, a combination of ex-pats and (in their words) local yokels dancing in “pure revival style”, full of energy and fun which they aim to maintain to this day.
They are most welcome – and, should any morris men drop in on them, I know from my own side’s experience, you will be made equally welcome.
