The Original Welsh Border Morris

The dances and tunes as listed in A Handbook of Morris Dances

  1. The Three Handed Reel, EDS Sept 1959, RW
Sources:

RW (EDS, Sept 1959).

Bromsberrow Heath is on the Gloucestershire-Herefordshire border, and affinities of the dance are with the Herefordshire rather than the Cotswold Morris. Six dancers in the same formation as at Brimfield.

The music was by fiddle, using various tunes, including The Cock o' the North and The Flowers of Edinburgh as well as the tune given here.
