Coronavirus COVID-19 Advice

We know many of us can't wait to get back out dancing, playing tunes, meeting old mates and entertaining -  but please, we urge you, resist the temptation to do so in any breach of the "Lockdown" - both in the law and the spirit of the regulations:.

This was the latest updated advice as at 18th May 2021. (do read the Introduction in full- and yes, we are performers, not athletes!)  https://www.gov.uk/government/news/performing-arts-given-green-light-to-resume-outdoors-on-july-11

The Morris Federation's Sally Wearing, their H&S Advisor, has produced excellent summaries of the previous UK Government advice and how it affects the morris world. Morris Federation - Coronavirus Covid-19 Supplementary, last updated 1oth October 2022. We will share any future updates here, and on our Facebook page , with the blessing of the Morris Federation.

The JMO has been working hard to work towards returning to dancing in a government approved manner.  This is the latest status : Returning to Dancing -  or not

Many teams will no doubt be planning how they can emerge from lockdown, but it is important to remember that activities which breach government rules probably invalidate the Public Liability Insurance, (see the latest advice) and will also attract press coverage which reflects badly on the Morris as a whole, not just the team concerned. It really is not worth the risk, when we have made so many sacrifices thus far.

Morris On - eventually, and safely.
