outdoor pitches for tents and limited camper/caravan parking
will be available. There are toilets and showers for both
sexes. Sorry\, but no dogs are permitted on site (not even
  members).\n\n
We will need to know at the time of your application which
  sort of accommodation you prefer.\n\n
Cost: approx. £60 per person. (Costings have yet to be
finalised\; some arrangements are still provisional and maybe
subject to change — but hopefully not!)\n\n
Closing date for Applications was 15th October 2012.\n\n
Directions to the Unconvention courtesy of John Burke:\n\n
Lyons Copse is off Sandy Lane\, Shedfield\, Southampton SO32
2HQ – see the note below about the postcode.\n\n
We will endeavour to have signs at the end of Sandy Lane on the
A334\, at the entrance to the Scout site and on the roadway to
  the building.\n\n
  http://goo.gl/maps/JWafr will show the following:\n\n
From the eastbound M27 (towards Portsmouth) leave at Junction 7
(Hedge End)\, first exit at the top of the ramp into:\n\n
  • A334 Charles Watts Way (straight ahead at two roundabouts
  – keep in the rightmost lane at the second and go straight
ahead through the traffic lights immediately after the
  roundabout\, into\n\n
  • A334 Grange Road\, (second exit at the first roundabout\;
take the second exit at the second roundabout\, into\n\n
  • A334 Broad Oak towards Botley\;\n\n
  • A334 Botley High Street\;\n\n
  • A334 through Botley\, pass the station to the left/the
Railway Inn on the right and cross the railway\, then bear
right on the A334 towards Wickham\;\n\n
  • A334 pass Silverlake Garage and Wickham vineyard on the
left\; then\, approximately 5 miles after leaving the M27\, the
A334 bends right and left\, and Sandy Lane is on your left –
signposted “Marriott Meon Valley Hotel and Country Club”\;\n\n
  • Turn left into Sandy Lane and follow it for about half a
mile\, ignoring the Marriott Hotel and its golf driving range
on your right. You are in Shedfield\; you are nearly there!\n\n
  • Where Sandy Lane swings sharp right\, turn left into Lyons
  Copse (Solent Scout Training Centre) though the gateway\;
follow the roadway\, being careful of the speed humps\; pass
wooden buildings to your left and Lyons Lodge (at 50.924368\,
-1.220963\; SU548141 for OS map users) is straight ahead where
the (by then\, one way) roadway bears right\;\n\n
  • The postal address is Lyons Copse\, Sandy Lane\,
Shedfield\, Southampton SO32 2HQ\, but this postcode shows up
on Sandy Lane about half way between the A334 and the entrance
  to Lyons Copse\;\n\n
  • The journey from the M27 should take about 15+ minutes\,
  depending on traffic conditions.\n\n
  \n\n
Please do not arrive before 18:00 on Friday 2nd November and
please park tidily when you arrive – space is limited\n\n
As will not be able to gain access before 6:00pm on Friday\,
should you be fortunate enough to arrive early (unlikely given
local motorways' usual Friday evening traffic) John recommends
  the nearby Wheatsheaf pub
