Morris dance has been an enduring feature of British culture for more than six centuries. To celebrate EFDSS is hosting a two-day conference of presentations, posters and dance, exploring morris dance’s evolution and spread from its elusive beginnings until the present day. Themes covered include:

  • Women in Morris;
  • Morris at Court;
  • The Early Revival;
  • Material Culture;
  • The History of History;
  • The Later Revival;
  • The Morris Dark Ages: the 18th Century.
